Effective?
A three-question check a person can remember after remapping: Same facts? Better move? Worth it?
A new map can feel clarifying before it has earned your trust. Effective? gives you a short check you can run in your head: Same facts? Better move? Worth it? The first question protects the relevant facts, uncertainty, and constraints. The second asks whether the new map improves a prediction, comparison, calculation, decision, test, search, or next action. The third prices the extra work of building, reading, switching to, and maintaining it.
The three questions are a screen, not a declaration that the map worked in the world. A clear no means revise or reject the candidate. Not sure stays not sure until a matched task or responsible person supplies what is missing. With AI support, the skill expands these questions into the five recorded M.SHIFT checks; a person does not need to memorize that second acronym.
