Every line you draw gets a label naming what actually flows and which way it points. A plain "connected to" line hides the difference between who organizes and who tags along, so it cannot tell you which tie matters when someone leaves.

In the friend group sketch, don't draw seven undifferentiated lines. Label them: Dana organizes dinners, Marcus confides in Dana, Priya invites both clusters, you mediate. Only the "invites" edges crossed clusters, and all four ran through Priya.
