Optionality (Convex Tinkering)
Nassim Taleb's principle of structuring your life and portfolio to benefit from uncertainty—creating situations with limited downside and unlimited upside (positive convexity). Optionality means having many small bets where you can't lose more than your investment but can gain disproportionately. The anti-fragile approach: rather than trying to predict the future, position yourself to benefit from whatever happens. This requires low fixed costs, multiple experiments, and the willingness to cut losses quickly.

When facing strategic decisions under uncertainty; when multiple stakeholders have competing interests; when the stakes are high and reversibility is low.
