Positive-Sum Thinking
The recognition that many interactions can increase total value rather than merely redistributing a fixed amount. Trade, cooperation, knowledge sharing, and network effects are positive-sum: all parties can gain simultaneously. The shift from zero-sum to positive-sum thinking changes strategy fundamentally—from competing for shares of a fixed pie to expanding the pie. The most successful long-term strategies are almost always positive-sum.
