Surfing or “Riding the Wave”
The strategic pattern of timing entry into a market, trend, or opportunity by waiting for the wave of momentum to form and then positioning to ride it. Surfing requires patience (waiting for the right wave), timing (paddling at the right moment), and positioning (being in the right place). Applied to careers, markets, and innovation: you can't create a wave, but you can dramatically amplify your impact by riding one.
