Spring-loading
A strategic pattern of building up potential energy—resources, capabilities, relationships, or advantages—before releasing it for maximum impact. Like compressing a spring before release. Companies spring-load product launches with pre-built demand, negotiators spring-load by accumulating leverage before making asks, and individuals spring-load career moves by building skills and networks before transitioning. The discipline is patience during the loading phase.
