Center of Gravity (Where the Weight Concentrates)
A physical center of gravity is an effective point for the action of weight. Strategic usage identifies a proposed concentration of capability or dependence, which may be plural and replaceable.
In mechanics, the center of gravity represents the effective location of an object's weight for torque calculations. In a uniform gravitational field it coincides with the center of mass. Stability also depends on the support region and forces; concentrating weight does not create an organizational theory.
Strategic center-of-gravity analysis asks which capability or relationship concentrates a system's ability to act. Treat the proposed center as a hypothesis: trace dependencies and consider substitutes, redundancy, and changing conditions. A system may have several important dependencies, and losing one need not cause complete collapse.
When to use it
When weight distribution matters physically, or when a clearly marked strategic analogy helps investigate concentrated dependencies.

Map dependencies and test which ones actually constrain functioning. Protect or diversify consequential dependencies according to evidence.
