Curiosity-driven questions that turn a specific puzzle into an opportunity for inquiry, without assuming a predetermined answer.

Wonder questions turn a noticed puzzle into an invitation to investigate: why this pattern, what changes the result, or what would distinguish two explanations? They need not have an answer already known to the learner, but they can still be precise enough to guide observation and reading.

Curiosity is a starting condition, not proof of learning or a universal brain-wiring prescription. Pair an open question with a tractable next inquiry and distinguish what is observed from what is imagined. A factual lookup may sometimes be the right next step; questions need not become grander to become more useful.

When a surprising pattern or gap could motivate useful exploration beyond rote recall.
