The Portfolio Pie
One vivid goal can consume attention until other necessary outcomes almost disappear. Allocate one hundred points across the outcomes that matter, mark protected minimum shares and concentration limits, then discuss what the picture reveals.
Share 100 points → mark minimums → cap concentration → discuss the tradeoff.
The Portfolio Pie shows the relative attention several valued outcomes should receive. Use one hundred points as a conversation aid, optionally comparing intended and actual emphasis. Mark minimum slices and maximum concentration where useful. The picture exposes priorities; it does not prove that unlike values are interchangeable or that rights can be compensated with points elsewhere.
Try this when…
This one goal has quietly taken over everything.
We say several things matter, but only one gets attention.
What should keep a minimum share even during a busy season?
The calendar doesn't resemble the priorities we claim.
What you can use it for
Expose concentration
Notice when a salient target crowds out other necessary results.
Discuss coexisting outcomes
Make relative emphasis visible before deciding how to allocate time or other resources.
Compare intention and practice
Use recent choices to challenge an aspirational allocation without treating the points as objective truth.
