HOW
Generate a new option by changing the mechanism, medium, place, or resources used.
You have wanted conversational Spanish for two years. Your entire strategy has been one app, streak after broken streak. When the streak dies you restart the same app, maybe with notifications on. It never occurs to you that the app is only one of many machines that could produce the same result.
HOW creates a new option by changing the mechanism, medium, place, or resource mix while keeping the goal fixed. In the option-sentence format the framework uses, this move edits the "through what means" slots. The cue that you need it is repeated failure or boredom with one method, plus the assumption that this method simply is the plan. Run it by listing alternative machines for the same outcome: a weekly video tutor (different mechanism), podcasts during your commute (different medium), a conversation meetup at the library (different place), or spending money instead of willpower by prepaying ten lessons (different resource). Write each as a separate candidate rather than a vague "try other stuff." What visibly changes is that quitting the app no longer means quitting the goal. Leave this move aside when your current mechanism is working and the real question is dose or timing; then changing machines mid-progress just resets your gains.
